Chesnee Middle Students Enjoy Book Club

At Chesnee Middle School, we believe student engagement extends beyond the classroom and is an important part of bringing Every Eagle. Every Day. to life. One great example is our 8th Grade Book Club, organized by Mrs. Boyd, where students read a selected book for the month and then meet with a staff member to discuss the story, share perspectives, and make connections. This experience encourages a love of reading while building relationships, strengthening communication skills, and giving students a voice in their learning. Opportunities like these help us create a school culture where every student feels connected, valued, and encouraged to grow.

We also celebrated our September Attendance All-Stars by recognizing students who had zero unexcused absences during September. Students enjoyed a variety of activities, including board games and card games in the cafeteria, dancing and outdoor games on the patio, and walking the bus loop while listening to music. This celebration allowed us to recognize positive attendance habits while giving students an opportunity to connect with peers and staff in a fun, positive environment. Both initiatives reflect our commitment to Every Eagle. Every Day. by creating meaningful opportunities for students to learn, build relationships, and experience a sense of belonging at CMS. Go Eagles!
