At Chesnee Middle School, we have been excited to revamp our Student Council with a renewed focus on student voice, leadership, and involvement. Rather than simply being a group that meets and plans a few activities, we want Student Council to be a meaningful avenue for students to share their ideas, identify ways to improve our school, and take ownership in making CMS a better place. We have expanded opportunities for students to be involved and are intentionally creating a culture where our students know that their ideas and perspectives matter.

This work connects directly to our Every Eagle Every Day commitment. Every Eagle means every student has a voice, every student has opportunities to lead, and every student has a role in making our school community stronger. We want our students to see themselves not just as recipients of the school experience, but as active contributors to it. By empowering students to lead, serve, and make a difference at CMS, we are helping them develop the confidence, responsibility, and leadership skills they will carry with them well beyond middle school.
